Wir sind ein Leib und eine Seele.&#8220; (Ruth Marten, 2024)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Ausstellung Ruth Marten: All About Eve im Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders zeigt Ruth Martens neueste Serie <em>All About Eve<\/em> an der die US amerikanische K\u00fcnstlerin (geboren 1949, lebt und arbeitet in New York City, NY\/USA) seit 2022 arbeitet. Die Serie offenbart ein komplexes Gef\u00fcge, das zwischen High und Low Art verschwimmt Realit\u00e4ts und Gattungsgrenzen \u00fcberschreitet, und voller Humor ist. Kunsthistorische Bez\u00fcge mischen sich mit eigenen Bildfindungen, die eine tiefe Symbiose mit dem urspr\u00fcnglichen Bildmotiv eingehen. Foto: Jeffrey Sturges.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ruth Marten fand 2003 zu ihrer bis heute andauernden Leidenschaft f\u00fcr die Arbeit mit alten Drucken und Fotografien als Basis ihres eigenen k\u00fcnstlerischen Kosmos. Durch \u00dcberarbeitungen in Form von Zeichnungen und Collagen schafft die K\u00fcnstlerin eine Verbindung zwischen historischen Darstellungen und zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Perspektiven. Thematisch kreisen ihre Werke um Identit\u00e4t, Natur und Tierwelt im Verh\u00e4ltnis zum menschlichen Gegen\u00fcber, um Mode, Traum, Sexualit\u00e4t, und um den gesellschaftlichen Blick auf die Rolle und Erscheinung der Frau \u00fcber die Jahre. Die Anspielung auf die biblische Eva in <em>All About Eve<\/em> schafft eine Verbindung zwischen den abgebildeten T\u00e4nzerinnen und<br>archetypischen Vorstellungen von Weiblichkeit. Ruth Marten entzieht &#8222;ihre&#8220; T\u00e4nzerinnen dem m\u00e4nnlichen Blick und \u00fcberf\u00fchrt jede einzelne in ihre eigene Existenz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neben den Werken der Serie <em>All About Eve<\/em> gibt die Ausstellung mit rund 30 weiteren Werken aus den Jahren 2008 bis 2022 einen \u00dcberblick \u00fcber das bisherige Schaffen der K\u00fcnstlerin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr style=\"--wb-separator-margin-top:0px;--wb-separator-margin-bottom:0px\" class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Ausstellung wird kuratiert von Dr. Ina Dinter.
